I have to say today is a good day.
"Every day is a good day. There is something to learn, care, and celebrate."— Amit Ray
Day 49
Today is a beautiful day, and as such, every day is a beautiful day. Every day you wake up, it's a beautiful day. It should be nothing less. Can it be something more? That's up to you, but today has been great.
The quote says, "Every day is a good day. You have something to learn, something to care about, and something to celebrate." What's that celebration? Celebration is life. Being able to do this, being able to just wake up and smell the coffee, is what they like to say. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I get the gist.
Sometimes we take life for granted, and sometimes we take just being alive as something that is expendable. We grow up, and we wake up every day thinking to ourselves, "It's almost a guarantee that we wake up every day." Of course, that right there is not a guarantee. That's actually one of the greatest guarantees not given to us.
I think if we realize that and understand it a lot more often, we would cherish the moments we spend and the time we get to be here. Just thinking about dropping my daughter off at school and watching her, I don't think it's that we're not allowed to walk them to class anymore. It's just that I would like for her to build her autonomy. She has certain dependency issues with her situation. Her mom has unfortunately abandoned her for the last 4 of her 5 years, and it does take a toll on the children.
Something that I've realized, no matter what, is that, to say, no matter how much love and care she has around her, that void, that hole created by the missing parent is astronomical. For me, it's just about building her autonomy and building confidence within her so she can take that farther and build on that.
As I was saying, it made me realize that even I have fallen into the habit of thinking that every day is guaranteed. It's not to say that's a good or bad thing. I think if we cherish the fact that being alive isn't a guarantee, that would enrich our lives and exponentially raise that variable to a higher degree.
You see it here on the website alone: there are going to be days when posting doesn't happen. That's not to say that I'm still taking a day off. It doesn't mean I wasn't doing anything, and in fact, I was doing a whole lot, really. I think I mentioned in one of these earlier posts that posting can sometimes be tedious when you have so many other things going on.
Even though this is a testament to me, what I do and what I create is more canonical. That's just to say that cherishing this moment, even right now as I'm talking, is just about being grateful to have this opportunity to do so, and I'm grateful for doing this project. I'll have that recorded history, and I'm not sure where I'm going or how far I'm going to go, but I know eventually I'll look back on this day. I'll be able to remember everything: the way the rooms used to look, the way I used to look out the window. It's a beautiful feeling being able to do it, and it's always great to show gratitude for the magnificence of life.
We need to be able to do that much more and give praise much more. Realize that, truly, our problems aren't problems. They can come and go, and we can wash them away. You truly become the creator of your life, cherish that role, and understand the responsibilities. Be accountable for what you create, and understand that everything in your life is something you have played a role in, greater or lesser. The role should always be greater.
This is just to say that I see it and I know it: I am successful. I am making a life for myself and my family. I am a creator, and they see me as I see myself. I'm greatness. I am greatness. I witness greatness, and performance is nevertheless. Enjoy this life, this time, and this moment. Everything external is exactly variable: you can multiply it, subtract it, divide it, or add it. You are the factor, the prime factor. Just understand that you have everything you need, all the tools necessary for you, and all the resources. Everything will come out when you want it to, when you need it to. Start this day off by making it your best.
Be light, be love. Always know that the universe is always working in your favor.
